PLAYTECH LOOKING TO DOMINATE EUROPEAN ONLINE GAMBLING MARKET
One of the leading providers of poker, casino and bingo game software, Playtech recently announced they will be looking to purchase European companies who are struggling. The goal is to try and monopolize the online gaming industry in Europe by providing poker players and casino gamblers with fewer options.
Avigur Zmora the Vice Chairman of Playtech believes it is the right time to move the company forward. Targeting companies whose stock has taken a beating will be a first priority for them.
When the United States passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act back in October of last year, Playtech was one of the first to leave the US market. Some though this was a show of weakness for the company but now it is evident that the plan all along was to dominate the EU market space which has the potential for massive growth in the next coming years.
