POKER BAD BEATS
Everyone has a few bad beat poker stories to tell. They are carried like battle scars and every poker player has had at least one. These countless tales of woe are legendary among card players. A player primed for the giant pot until the Poker Gods of Fate swoop down and destroy any hope with that final River of Death card.
The most important thing is how we react to these bad beats. Your response is key to how you will continue to play after a crushing blow has been delievered that knocks you off your game. What should you do? By retracing your steps to determine whether you would have done something differently is imperative. If you feel you have played the cards right, "Shake it off" and play on. If you believe you made a mistake, learn from it and move on. Be polite and congratulate your opponent whether he played it better or got lucky on the river be courteous and focus on your own game. Ultimately you too will have your own set of bad beat stories to tell, it is the nature of the beast.
